As a new generation of piperazine, cinepazide(cinepazide maleate) has been widely used in Europe and Japan. As calcium channel blocker, cinepazide can stop calcium from entering vascular smooth muscle cell and relax smooth muscle of cerebral vessel, coronary artery and peripheral vessel so as to relieve vasospasm, reduce vascular resistance, improve flexibility of red blood cell, increase blood circulation in cerebral vessel and improve microcirculation and brain metabolism.
