  • Singapore Consumer Electronics Report Q3 2014
Published: 23-Jul-2014        Price: US $1295 Onwards        Pages: 73
BMI View: We forecast that Singapore's consumer electronics spending will increase 6.9% in US dollar terms in 2014 to reach USD4.6bn, with the smartphone and tablet device markets continuing to be the most dynamic market segments. We expect market growth to accelerate from 2013 after a squeeze on growth from price erosion in the TV and notebook markets, as well as cannibalisation of digital camera and mp3 player volumes associated with the proliferation of multi-functional smartphone ownership. ......
  • France Information Technology Report Q3 2014
Published: 23-Jul-2014        Price: US $1295 Onwards        Pages: 95
BMI View: we expect only modest medium term growth for the French IT market as a result of high penetration of products and solutions, a challenging economic environment and cuts to public spending. However, France will continue to be a leading global IT market for due to its scale and the fact it is home to leading IT services providers and a growing cybersecurity ecosystem. The hardware market is forecast to underperform software and services due to saturation of the consumer market, although ......
  • Nigeria Telecommunications Report Q3 2014
Published: 23-Jul-2014        Price: US $1295 Onwards        Pages: 112
BMI View: As future subscriptions growth in the mobile market would depend on continued price competition and potentially expensive network expansion projects in underserved areas, network operators must expand their value-added service (VAS) portfolios in order to to boost ARPU rates by getting existing customers to spend more on non-voice services. Beyond boosting ARPUs, VAS offerings also have the potential to reduce operators' churn rate, which have come under intense upward pressure inactiv......
  • Sweden Information Technology Report Q3 2014
Published: 23-Jul-2014        Price: US $1295 Onwards        Pages: 77
BMI View: Sweden's IT market growth will underperform emerging markets in the region over the medium term, but in the context of market maturity IT spending growth is forecast to remain robust. We base our outlook on a supportive economic environment, a strong local system of software firms and the strength of supporting data network infrastructure. We identify data centres, cloud computing, and real-time business software and services as medium-term growth trends in Sweden. There is also upside......
  • North Africa Telecommunications Report Q3 2014
Published: 23-Jul-2014        Price: US $1295 Onwards        Pages: 119
BMI View: Other than Libya, which continues to feel the effects of the 2011 civil war, competition is strong in North Africa's mobile markets. While there remains some growth potential in the region's mobile markets, BMI believes mobile data and increased liberalisation in the wireline segment will be the major drivers of growth throughout our forecast period to 2018. Morocco's regulator has given incumbent Maroc Télécom until August to implement local loop unbundling, Algérie Télécom has r......
  • Benin Telecommunications Report 2014
Published: 23-Jul-2014        Price: US $1295 Onwards        Pages: 53
BMI View: Benin offers scant opportunities for investors, owing to near-saturation of the mobile sector and the challenges involved in rolling out modern wireline infrastructure beyond the major population and business centres. There are consolidation opportunities in the mobile arena, however, with Glo being the standout acquisition target. Etisalat/Maroc Telecom-backed Moov would be a likely purchaser. Recent strong uptake of mobile internet services suggests MTN and Moov have upgraded their n......
  • Taiwan Consumer Electronics Report Q3 2014
Published: 23-Jul-2014        Price: US $1295 Onwards        Pages: 56
BMI View: We maintain a positive outlook for Taiwan's consumer electronics market, however growth rates will underperform emerging markets in the APAC region due to relatively high penetration in key device categories such as smartphones and tablets. We forecast growth of 3.4% in 2014, with market value forecast to reach USD7.7bn. Despite the maturity of the market we identify several growth areas vendors can tap including large-screen, ultra-HD and OLED TV sets, phablets and 4G smartphones. A k......
  • Guinea Telecommunications Report 2014
Published: 23-Jul-2014        Price: US $1295 Onwards        Pages: 61
BMI View: Guinea's lack of fixed-line operator has allowed the mobile market to flourish. With steadily climbing penetration and continued growth potential, the mobile market offers the greatest returns on investment in the market. There is limited demand for fixed broadband with wireless options offering greater flexibility and good download rates. Competition for 3G services is good, although take-up remains low. Figures show that mobile data subscribers are gradually moving from 2G to 3G conn......
  • Poland Information Technology Report Q3 2014
Published: 23-Jul-2014        Price: US $1295 Onwards        Pages: 83
BMI View: We expect the Polish IT market will be a regional outperformer over the medium term based on a strong macroeconomic outlook, untapped potential and technology trends. We expect rising incomes will drive retail hardware spending, however in the short-term the rapid transition in consumer spending away from notebooks to low-cost tablets, will sustain unit sales growth but squeeze the total value of sales. Enterprise and government spending has a stronger outlook over the medium term, in ......
