BMI View: Mozambique will continue to be one of the least attractive pharmaceutical and healthcare
markets in the Middle East and Africa region (MEA). The escalation of political violence has directly
impacted health centres in some of the country's provinces leading to the further deterioration of healthcare
access in affected areas. Furthermore, falling revenues will limit government spending in 2016 and 2017 as
a result of withheld funding from donors in the wake of the public debt scandal.
