BMI View: Argentina's tourism market is set to grow strongly in 2016 and then throughout the forecast

period to 2020. Arrivals will be boosted by a surge in regional tourism, encouraged by Argentina's ongoing

currency adjustment. While strikes and social unrest could increase as opposition grows to economic

changes, we remain broadly positive on the outlook for the market.

Key Updates And Forecasts:

- We expect high levels of arrivals growth between 2016 and 2020, with arrivals set to grow by 9.8% in

2016 to 7.2bn.

- The threat of the Zika virus appears to be moderating, which we expect to support continued arrivals to

the country.

- A key risk remains a rise in industrial unrest related to the ongoing economic reform agenda. Although

the main CGT transport union reunited in August 2016, it has stated that it does not plan any immediate

strike action.
